A very disjointed and confused review of some fashion shows?

I feel guilty: instead of looking at piles and piles of online runway slideshows from New York Fashion Week, I was working my ass off in a musical.  Somebody doesn’t have her priorities straight…

Mom, that was sarcasm.

So here’s some random photos I saw and liked.

OK I just realized that I have both Spring Summer AND Fall 09 to post on. Be patient with me.

I randomly decided to look at Monique Lhuillier…I want to see this gown on the red carpet at some point.

I also like this (again, M.L.) but I wish the skirt looked a little bit less like denim…I take issue with fabric that isn’t denim but looks like it, and above all with denim skirts. mostly. unless it looks like this.

Again. Sarcasm. I also really like the contrast between the poufed sleeves and the curve hugging pencil skirt.

Badgley Mischka: I love this dress. It’s taking the lace that I adored in Fall/Winter and updating to a more…almost ethnic inspired silhouette and design.

And this…this is why we love Badgley Mischka. The detail going into such a simple silhouette…but that said, there is nothing like one of their beaded wedding gowns.

Some favorites (given that I HAD to pick them…) from the Chanel Show..

and this one in my opinion is a fabulous throw back to some retro something. It’s the wide neck that does it.

A Proenza Schouler skirt/jacket set: I love the pop of the gloves, and notice the lingerie peaking out. That was BIG this season.

And this is what they mean when they call fashion art.

I just got really confused about what shows and what season is being showed right now. So following this will be a fall fashion post…oh dear. I have fallen behind.

That’s all I am going to bother to look through, but here is a great link to check out all the shows.
