Since I have recently gotten very interested in fashion, I figured I would put my thoughts about this world on display for the rest of the world.

For me, fashion serves a few different purposes.  I personally try to look put together every day, but still, of course, want to have it look effortless.  I use fashion to express myself and my mood.  There are, of course, days when I just throw on whatever I can find.  We all have those days.  I’m not one of those people who thinks that you have to have all designer/expensive clothes to dress well.  I’m not one of those people who thinks that designer/expensive clothes are a rip off and have no real value.  If my financial situation allowed, I would have a healthy mix of both.

Also, about words like “fashionable” and “stylish”, I really don’t like them, but there are always times when nothing else can be said.  I will usually lean towards stylish, because I think it somehow speaks more to personal ideas as opposed to what the fashion industry dictates.

One of the places I get the most inspiration from is seeing international street fashion on Sartorialist.  I have a link to it on the main page.  On his blog, he sometimes will fill out questionnaires for people regarding their style.  There is a possibly adjusted copy of it for me, just to give you a better idea of how I approach fashion, on another page, right below the link to this page.

Also, regarding the double negative in the title…it IS on purpose…
